The Darling Of The Media

by admin - 14:34 on 23 February 2013

The local media was full of me yesterday.

The Ross-shire Journal featured my tree sparrows in a write-up on the latest doings at Dingwall Camera Club – below snaps by other successful portfolio competitors. However, the biggest snap was one of Squirrel James' ancient dolphins which he's been hawking around national competitions for at least three years and has at last won a gold medal.

The same day, The Inverness Courier featured the snap of me (and several more of other stallholders) taken at Culduthel Hall last weekend. The caption described me as "photographer and author", so it must be true.  The Highlands and Islands Newspaper of the Year wouldn't lie.

However, the public is unimpressed. Today's market, at North Kessock, found me surrounded by uninterest and struggling to cover my costs. Don't they know who I am?

At least The Fearless Ones think I'm great, although usually just after I've filled their food dishes. Then it's time for a snooze. Life's easy for kittens.

I like this bit "...the biggest snap was one of Squirrel James' ancient dolphins which he's been hawking around national competitions for at least three years and has at last won a gold medal..." although you should have said that it won ANOTHER gold medal. :-)655
