Worth A Try

by admin - 21:41 on 06 January 2013

Today's Snapathon entry is the result of a not wholly successful experiment in depth of field and studio lighting – the 'studio' being a bedroom and a bedside lamp. Neither are ideal, but I wanted to see how well I could do with what's available.

The answer is: not very well, although I made things more difficult for myself by choosing such shiny subjects. Burned out highlights seemed unavoidable; I disguised them as much as I could with some Photoshoppery.

I might try again later in the month. Tomorrow I'll play safer.

Feline Update: The Fearless Ones are going through a tough dental time: kitten teeth are falling out, adult ones coming through. Both are off their food a little – most unusual – but still perky enough to spend time out in the garden. Soon we'll no longer have kittens. Only cats.
