Wailing In The Woods

by admin - 16:39 on 04 January 2013

The January Snapathon returned to a familiar subject on Day Four because, apart from a ramble through the woods with Matchgirl and The Pride, I've been busy with Chatterbox. That's my excuse, anyway.

The Fearless Ones, trustworthy enough not to need leads any more, enjoyed a high-speed gallop and tree-climb along the circular walk near The Rural Retreat. Maia complained loudly for most of the way, until she caught the scent of home. It's the first time she's done the almost-a-mile walk; it may be the last.

I did attempt a few scenic snaps but managed nothing to compare with Spider Kings or Incoming Tides so I've settled for a slice of country living entitled Going Home. You're lucky to see it, for Matchgirl reckons her bum looks too big. She doesn't understand about padded jackets.

Going Home

After the walk, the Retreat was much quieter than it had been in the morning when supercharged kittens rampaged around the cottage. The snap of snoozing felines was taken yesterday evening but it illustrates perfectly the post-perambulation peace.

I still find the idea of going for a walk with cats really amusing! The post-perambulation photo is great.

I think Maia would disagree but the kittens enjoy it.
