A Gate Filled With Action

by admin - 21:14 on 12 June 2012

The Patient fooled us again by eating heartily overnight and looking her old self in the morning. She even eyed a few birds with evil intent.

By the afternoon she looked less happy so the trip to see Dr Vet was made after all, much to her disgust. Bess even hissed at her medical examiner, which is very unusual. Antibiotics and a painkiller were administered; she'll be given more on Thursday.

She returned home to eat heartily. Some cats can't make up their mind.

Young House Sparrows

Emergency dashes and a busy printing session left little time for snappery, but I chanced upon two house sparrow chicks on the garden gate being fed by dad (who kept his back to me all the time). Earlier, junior woodpecker and mum were there too but far too nervous to let themselves be snapped.

Last night, in the dusk, Mrs Marten chomped happily with the occasional break to look up and grin at me. It all happens on the gate.
