Meteorological Mayhem

by admin - 22:31 on 05 October 2011

It was a dark and stormy night. And a wild day too. Which is why the lawn looks like a battlefield.

Not just leaves litter the grass, but lots and lots of leafy twigs – and a couple of small branches – have descended from the willow tree. Much raking will be required at the weekend. The gutters probably require attention too.

Bess seems to enjoy the wild weather, unlike the growing list of her small squeaky victims she wishes to share with us at five in the morning.

She'd better make the most of it. Snow is forecast on high ground for the next two nights so it won't be long before the garden is white and Matchgirl has to dig out cat paths to enable our moggy to reach the site of her private business.

Poor puss.
