In Place of Dolphins

by admin - 19:32 on 10 September 2010

I'd hoped to go dolphin-snapping today, for the exceptionally low tide at 8am should have provided some fine action opportunities.

But, come the morning, wind and rain were no encouragement to leave the comfort of The Rural Retreat. That's why I'll never be an internationally recognised wildlife snapper. Maybe tomorrow.

Some constructive activity did take place, however: a few more pages were added to the Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery that's taking shape on my Mac. I also amused myself by creating a 1940s souvenir from a snap taken last month. It's amazing what you can do with Photoshop.

IMHO that is a fantastic photo. Actually prefer the colour one after remedying the hue of the man with the 'orrible sartorial taste. I hope you enter it into some competitions.

You're going to have to give me some lessons. After leaving my little pocket Nikon in a pants pocket and then wondering about all the clunking noises coming from my washing machine, I've shelled out for a Fujifilm HS10 in anticipation of my travels.

Thanks Mike. I'm sure it will make an appearance here and there.
