A Different Approach

by admin - 23:13 on 22 August 2010

Bess insisted on another stroll this morning – it looks like we've got a new routine established – but this was no hardship as she's good company. As is Matchgirl, who also took part in the perambulation.

When Bess had walked as far as she wanted, Matchgirl took her home and I continued further up the lane and past the steading. Wildlife sighting highlights included pine marten poo and a lazily gliding buzzard, but the best was closer to home – one of the MacPrescotts emerging from his hole in the gatepost.

As I had the 50-300mm lens on the Pentax I had to stand back to shoot, and got much better results than snapping him from inches away with the 18-55. With luck there'll be better to come.
