The Computer Queen

There's no stopping Matchgirl the Technogeek. Having splashed out huge amounts of cash on her whizzy little smartphone (my £20 Nokia makes calls and sends texts just as well) she came home today with a gleaming Acer laptop under her arm.

Plus another new pair of shoes.

The old one had become increasingly sluggish, but a more modern machine didn't cost much more than a processor and memory upgrade, so the decision was clear. After much agonising over which model, obviously.

The afternoon peace was punctuated by squeaks of excitement as the computer nerd explored her new acquisition, filled with wonderment at what she found. And that was just the bubbles screensaver.

Now she has two toys to play with. What comes next I've no idea.
