Quiet Times

by admin - 22:44 on 09 July 2010

Life's been quiet in the past few days – so quiet that there's been nothing worth writing about. I don't even have any more snaps of passing martens to show off (both Miss and Master are still regular visitors) because I've raised my quality threshold.

It's not easy finding photographic perfection. Especially in this weather.

The good news is that Matchgirl and I will have a change of scenery next weekend when we climb astride Kawasaki San and head south for a week's self-catering (or, in Matchgirl's case, being catered for) in the Yorkshire Dales. Giggleswick, to be precise.

In the meantime I'll decide what to submit for two competitions that might be of interest to other aspiring wildlife photographers: one organised by Scottish Natural Heritage, the other by BBC Countryfile.

No prizes for guessing what species might feature at the top of my list of possibles.
