Quicker than the Human Eye

by admin - 19:41 on 17 April 2010

Yesterday's spring sun was blown away today by chilly gales that were no inducement whatsoever to leave the comfort of The Rural Retreat. So we didn't.

Greenfinch 2

A few snaps were snapped during breaks from putting the latest long-overdue bike club magazine together. That will be finished tomorrow if the forecast hail and sleet falls on the Black Isle. What happened to spring?

Both woodpeckers were seen today, although not in snappable positions. The gang of tree sparrows that squabbles on the branch near the feeders also refused to co-operate, flying away every time I was almost ready to take a group portrait.

Tree Sparrow 5

I'll persevere. The gang's too photogenic to ignore. In the meantime I had to settle for one sparrow and one greenfinch. Times are hard.
