A Bid For The Big Time

by Russell Turner - 21:23 on 04 July 2016

It's been a good day. Chris Evans quit Top Gear, so I'll be able to watch it again, and this afternoon City Limits assembled at Merkinch Community Centre for a command performance in front of Simon from Aberdeen-based XS Promotions with the hope that it would lead to many well paid gigs next year.

A mystery feedback problem had a stressed-out Keith swapping his amp and going home to retrieve a second guitar, which was not a good start. The mystery was never solved but he was able to play through it – just as well as we were also recording and being videoed and photographed.

Our efforts produced enthusiastic feedback and a promise to find some dates for us straight away. This time next year we'll be at Glastonbury.
