A Share Of The Chair

Cats like what's familiar. New scents in the garden may be of interest, and novelties in the shopping bag will always be investigated, but when it comes down to it our feline friends are happiest with what they know best.
In The Rural Retreat, that's our rocking chair.
Maia, it must be said, has never once attempted to enjoy the comfort of its well padded seat. Maybe she had a bad encounter with one in the past. The Fearless Ones, however, are both at home there, taking it in turns to luxuriate in its wooden embrace, occasionally pushing out someone who they think has been hogging it for too long.
In times past, before negotiation became necessary, they were of a size where they could share. Those days are long gone.
The good old days of 2012 when cats could share...
...Now everyone must wait their turn.
