A New Face In The Garden

by admin - 16:33 on 30 April 2015

It's a while since we've had more than the regular avian visitors in the garden so I was pleased to spot this pied wagtail strutting around the lawn yesterday. We see them only very occasionally, and I'd not been able to snap one before.

Pine marten prospects currently look as poor as in the last couple of years. Nocturnal activity still takes place, but so do raids on their food by neighbourhood cats when The Pride is indoors and sleeping. I have my fingers crossed but the happy days of a few years ago when marten snappery took place daily are now just a fading memory.
