Who Ya Gonna Call?

Just when it looked like we had two months to wait until the next City Limits gig, suddenly it's only two weeks. A cancellation at Johnny Foxes left a hole to fill so the management gave us a call – it must be guilt following the premature end of our last appearance there.

Mark April 17 and 18 in your diaries. We might even get to play some new songs, rehearsed or not.

Rehearsals did take place tonight, featuring four-fifths of The Strays in Matt's kitchen. Jim's unpredictable work pattern has taken him away again. Fortunately he'll be back before our return to the stage at The Room on April 25.

Literary Update: The winner of the Black Isle Writers 2015 competition, on the theme of 'Exit', was revealed today by judges from Elgin Writers. Not that I'm boasting. A finely crafted one thousand-word humorous tale entitled 'The Writers' can be found here, and as a bonus I've added a couple more recent efforts to my Short Stories page.
