Suffering, But No Silence

by admin - 23:10 on 27 March 2014

It's eight days until my April 4 debut with The Strays at the Ord Arms in Muir of Ord (free entry – don't miss it) so tonight's rehearsal was welcome, although hampered a little by the lack of Jim, once more at work on the high seas.

Whether it was a good idea for me remains to be seen. The three other members were all suffering noisily from colds, so if I've been infected the lurgi should peak at just the wrong moment. I'll take vitamin C and hope for the best.

Despite that, everyone's optimistic about a good night and a reasonably competent performance. We'll see.

Spring Update: A little more garden tidying was achieved on another fine day – so fine that The Pride was eager to take a stroll up the lane, although Maia turned back halfway along. I returned to The Rural Retreat to discover her staring with bafflement at an ex-vole sprawled in the middle of the carpet. Instinct must have got the better of our least enthusiastic hunter.
