Goodbye 2012

by admin - 19:12 on 31 December 2012

So that's 2012 almost over; looking back, it's been a quiet one: no exciting holidays, no luxurious weekends away. We'll have to try harder next year (finance permitting).

The low point, without a doubt, was the death of Tess. Nothing else came close – the theft and destruction of Mr Ford was a pinprick in comparison.

But there were high points: publication of A Cat Called Tess; the two thousandth sale of the award-winning Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery; welcoming Maia and The Fearless Ones into The Rural Retreat.

Who knows what will happen next year, but one high point is guaranteed: the fifth anniversary of the day Matchgirl became my wife. I hope it will be a high point for her too, but I'm taking nothing for granted.

Happy New Year to all my readers. I hope you all have a good one.

Of course our anniversary will be a highlight! (And I'm not just saying that because you've prompted me to.) We have 8 months to plan the celebration, so it should be a good one! xxx
