The Rockers' Return

by admin - 22:49 on 09 April 2010

The latest incarnation of Monkey Bones gathered for the first time tonight in the familiar surroundings of Mulbuie Hall. The vibes were good.

Behind the microphone was our newest member, Michael, who was singing in earnest for the first time after leaving his previous band a year ago. He was understandably tentative to begin with but by the time we repeated the handful of songs he was ready to try, the prospects for the future  looked better than at any time in the previous several months.

It's unfortunate that International Adam's work schedule means the next get-together won't be for a while, but Jim plans to give Michael some intensive coaching in the meantime.

The next gig can't be too far away.

Ocular Update: Replacements for the specs I lost last Friday arrived in the post today, sent by the fine people at Glasses Direct – impressive service, especially taking into account a bank holiday weekend. Matchgirl will miss my impression of Bono while watching TV.

Don't get excited - it's just the look of the prescription sunglasses when I watched TV.
