A Date To Remember

by admin - 17:08 on 16 June 2013

There are just two weeks left until The Fearless Ones leave behind kittenhood and become grown-up cats. Where did the time go?

As they were rescue cats, their birth date is a bit of an estimation, but July 1 will be close so that's when Pandora and Willow will celebrate their first birthday. More correctly, that's when Matchgirl (and I) will mark the big day – every day's a birthday for pampered pusses. As we don't know Maia's birthday either, that's also the day when she will become three years old.

A snap of The Pride taken in the lane today is a little misleading, for it appears that all three members are the same size, but it won't be long before that's a fact, especially since our formerly chunky black cat went on an enforced diet and lost her saddlebags.

Next in line for the lo-cal biscuits is Willow, who's hidden her tummy to look her best for her latest portrait.

I even had time for some bird snappery today, of which this greenfinch was the only one to survive quality control. With luck the fledglings will descend on us soon.

Our occasional fox didn't return last night but I did capture video of a hedgehog bumbling around, although not enough to make it worth posting. Let's see what happens tonight.
