It's A Cat's Life

by admin - 20:49 on 22 November 2012

The rejuvenated Maia continues to enjoy her new lease of life in The Rural Retreat. She may not be as sprightly as The Fearless Ones – a steroid-enhanced weight makes her more suitable for galumphing than gambolling – but she shows an occasional turn of speed and willingness to chase, especially in the garden.

Despite her lack of whiz, I still have few snaps of her when compared with the growing kitten collection. Grey days, dull interiors and black cats are not the best combination. I'll persevere.

Pandora and Willow, on the other hand, are irresistible subjects, whether they be in the Retreat's rocking chair, or snoozing on Matchgirl's blanket-covered lap.

I have no excuse for not seeking out other subjects, for the latest edition of Chatterbox is complete. Printing will take place this weekend, if the paper arrives, so the Black Isle's favourite quarterly community magazine should be in the shops next week.

This means I've lots of free time for snappery, although clearing the garden of leaves, twigs and small branches should take precedence. Whether it will is another matter...

Pandora and Willow look more grey than black. You ought to have really black cats if you think photographing them is difficult. Speedy also favours a black chair to recline on. ;-)

They are. Maia's the tricky one, which is why there are fewer snaps of her. At least we don't have black chairs...
