An Instinct For Relaxation

When kitten playtime has to stop for rest, do The Fearless Ones relax in the comfy cat beds which Matchgirl chose with such care?

No. They much prefer the floor, an inconvenient lap, our bed, the sofa, or – as in the case of Pandora – the back of an armchair. Whether one of her carers wishes to sit there is immaterial.

As I continue to avoid flash where possible, her latest study made use of a tripod, a two-second exposure, and the subject's disinclination to move a muscle after a hard day of fun. Kittens know how to relax just as well as big cats.
