A Bit Of A Cheek

by admin - 21:05 on 20 August 2012

Yesterday, FlyBe transported Matchgirl to Shetland, although she could probably have flown there on her own after getting in a flap when she thought she'd lost her passport and driving licence. The intrepid traveller found them when she rechecked for the third or fourth time the first place she'd looked.

Sometimes Matchgirl the hypochondriac worries about approaching senility. Sometimes I think she should worry.

So much of today has been spent alone, with only Tess for company.

No, senility's not creeping up on me too – part of the morning was spent creating, printing and bagging a range of A Cat Called Tess cards, as requested by Beauly Gallery, then delivering them in the afternoon. Enough are left for me to put before the public at Torridon and North Kessock later this week. Let's hope they're big-sellers.

More cat news: an email from Cat World today declared that the magazine is perfectly (or should that be purrfectly?) willing to feature in its pages the review copy I sent, but as a quid pro quo maybe I should take out an advert in its next edition. I'd even get 50% off. Prices start at £95. Plus VAT. And the deadline is next Monday.

This seems a bit of a cheek, especially as they've not asked for any images from the book to use with a review, leading me to wonder just how much editorial space Tess and I would get.

Maybe I should have approached Total Cat after all.
