All Set For Aviemore (almost)

by admin - 19:31 on 01 June 2012

The road to rock and roll stardom continue to be bumpy.

Our date with the bikers at Thunder in the Glens was called off when Matt realised he was scheduled to attend a wedding that day. A drum machine was considered but rejected because it can't throw sticks as well as our regular skin-basher. We hope to find a slot the day before.

Last night's rehearsal had to take place without Garry, who's working eighteen-hour shifts at the moment, so tomorrow's return to The Winking Owl in Aviemore might produce a gig that's a little rough around the edges. It will still be better than the final of The Voice, which is the only competition.

Otherwise, life is quiet. The Feline Marten Deterrent ensures that mustelid visits take place well after dark; bird numbers are down too, presumably because they're busy brooding. All I've managed recently is a random woodpecker who posed on The Nutella Stump (which appears to thrive).

Chatterbox has completed another fraught print run (a roller may be to blame) and is now available in most of its outlets. The rest will be supplied tomorrow. It's a mere £1.30 for forty-four packed pages, or you could be tight-fisted/thrifty (delete as applicable) like Squirrel James who reads the complimentary copy at Gabi's Tandoori.

Some people know the value of a penny.

I only look at the pictures...
