We Want Your Vote!

by admin - 15:31 on 03 May 2012

The shortlist of eight for this year's Favourite Nature Photography Book, one of the Scottish Nature Photography Awards, was unveiled this week. Unsurprisingly, camera heroes Peter Cairns and Niall Benvie feature, as do books published by Scottish stalwarts Birlinn and Whittles. Last year's winner was another superstar, Joe Cornish.

But what's that hiding modestly at the end of the list, overawed by the grand company it's keeping? None other than The Bumper Book of Black Isle Snappery. Squirrel James said he'd put in an entry. The boy done good.

The winner is chosen through a public vote, so our publicity and email drive will soon be in top gear as we plead with everyone who's read the book to give us their support. In fact, support us even if you haven't – you might win a £25 book token. What the winning book gets I don't know but I'll settle for the publicity and a healthy sales boost.

You'll find the voting page HERE.

Voting ends on August 31, and the winner is announced on September 21, but don't delay. Vote early and vote often, as corrupt politicians used to say (and probably still do). Blog, tweet and bleat the voting link to your friends; big us up on Facebook. We want to win and we can't do it without you.
