Good News for Mr Ford

by admin - 22:24 on 16 November 2011

Another day of fog and freezing temperatures meant there was little to entice me out of doors, although I did begin the long-delayed Gathering Of The Leaves. Half the lawn is now visible again.

I intend to reveal the second half tomorrow, but an unexpected visit by Mr Foreman means I have a higher-priority task in the morning. While disposing of our old oil tank at a scrap dealer he espied a retired Ford Mondeo, waiting to be junked. Its boot was in fine condition, he informed us.

The bad news is that he saw it last week; the motor may be now be in The Great Garage In The Sky. The good news is that the scrapyard is in the same industrial estate as RM Motors; if the Mondeo's still there, the boot could be detached and whisked away in moments. Mr Ford's wrinkled rear end may soon be no more.
