Free At Last

Autumn has been here with a vengeance during the last two days – wind, driving rain, and the reappearance of Matchgirl's sofa blanket. It won't be long before the ceremonial lighting of the season's first fire in a grate that's stood empty since April.
But I'm not downhearted. I exited GNoME HQ today and won't return for more than two weeks.
On Sunday I'll accompany Matchgirl to Shetland, where we'll stay for a week, and where I hope to put the Pentax through its paces. Weather permitting. I suspect I'll have to brush up on indoor snappery.
Band Update: The reunion of Shaker is off, for the time being. Matt had already dropped out, and when Adam realised he was on holiday on the date of the planned one-off gig, and couldn't make it either, I dropped out too. A future reunion's not been ruled out but no date's been set.
