Who's Been Sitting In My Chair? (Part Two)

Bess has rigged up some impressive surveillance cameras inside The Rural Retreat. That's the only explanation, unless she can see through walls.
Matchgirl returned from Shetland today, limping on both feet after aggravating her injuries, to reclaim her seat on the sofa. Bess, who'd spent much of the last two evenings indoors, in comfort, pointedly chose to explore the garden instead.
But as soon as Matchgirl moved to the kitchen, the fleet-footed feline sprang through the cat-flap and on to the still warm seat. Cats know.
She vacated it voluntarily later on, but the point was made. Now secure as the alpha cat, Bess is striving to become the household's alpha female. I know who my money's on.
Band Update: Matt's retirement is still in the balance, so Jim's found a stand-in drummer for the reunion rehearsal. And the proposed gig is back on. Rock and roll never sleeps.
