The Accused

Master Marten likes to finish what he starts. He sneaked back yesterday evening, after almost falling off the gate, and not only ate the Nutella he'd left there but everything in the tree too. It must be the light nights.
He also visited overnight or early morning. More Nutella was gone, and he was number one suspect in The Case of the Tampered Peanut Feeder.
However, to ensure I don't take him for granted he didn't come by tonight until after nine when rain clouds made the light too poor for snappery, I've been spoiled by his recent appearances. So I just watched him enjoy his meal, collect his egg and hurry away to wherever he goes.

Spider came a very poor second in today's Sleeping Challenge. While Bess made the most of her basket the incomer spent a day mooching around The Rural Retreat, unable to settle. She must miss Matchgirl.
Only two days until she's home.
