A Monochrome Mammal

by Russell Turner - 16:51 on 07 May 2018

My resumed efforts with the Bushnell have borne fruit; I now have my first half-decent snap of a badger doing its thing in The Rural Retreat’s garden.

The Bushnell took several images: some showed blurs or badger bums, some showed cats, some showed nothing. None showed pine martens. But three featured a badger looking as sharp as it’s possible to be when captured in grainy black-and-white.

I’ll keep trying, to see if there’s more than one individual. A pine marten on the gate at the same time would be a bonus.

I know the grass needs cutting. I'll get around to it when we've overcome the mower crisis.
