Back In The Frame

At last! Yesterday, not long before 11pm, I gathered my first pine marten snaps of the year. The lateness of the hour meant ISO 3200 and a one-sixth shutter speed so the results were noisy as a football crowd. I cleaned them up as much as possible in Photoshop, which is why the fur looks a bit flat, but I have the pictures and I don't care.

Whether this is an old friend or a new visitor, I can't say; hopefully there'll be further visits and I'll be able to take a closer look and take some sharper snaps.

Until then, here are the first daylight pictures of 2015. Martens continue to poke out their tongues at the world.
