Going Underground

by admin - 21:13 on 13 May 2015

Following a morning in which PhotoActive Philip reviewed a few of the pictures taken so far this week, today found the happy snappers at La Mola, the ruined Fort George-type fortification that used to guard the entrance to Mahon's harbour. There's picturesque decay aplenty above ground but the real excitement is in the warren of dimly-lit tunnels and the plethora of archways that offer the opportunity for creative use of a camera and a tripod. We all made the most of them.

Hot news from home is that Matchgirl's seriously tempted to trade in Agent Cooper, whose repair bills are beginning to irk her., for another Mini. What model, she doesn't reveal, but it's blue with steel grey stripes. Matchgirl knows her priorities.

A few snaps from Day 5:

A series of arches lit by natural light; A passing couple pose for me underground
in a pool of light from an air shaft in the ceiling.

Just a small part of the barracks and fortifications at La Mola; My first selfie, taken in an underground tunnel.

Capri. A more direct representation may appear sooner or later.
