A Strictly Sacrifice

Some things never change. The first Strays rehearsal since I was readmitted to the band was cancelled at the last minute owing to the illness of singer Gregor. We'll try again on Tuesday.

But in a startling break with tradition, all four members of City Limits will gather at 5pm on Saturday for the first all-band rehearsal. We even plan to test a few new numbers, among them Poker Face which I've been aching to play ever since my brief stint with The Fumes.

The down side is that I'll miss at least the first half of the Strictly Come Dancing final (come on Simon and Kristina) but my musical career comes first. I'll just have to record it, and hope that Matchgirl can contain herself on my return and stay switched off until I've seen it.
