Too Many Memories

by admin - 23:05 on 02 July 2014

It may be a while before you are able to share some Icelandic snappery as I have more than 350 RAW images from which to select the ones to put before the public eye. And as these are holiday pictures, even some of the dodgy ones will be kept tucked away as happy memories for Matchgirl and me.

This means that a lot of processing work is required. Life was much easier in the old days, when I shot jpgs, but the advantage of RAW can't be denied.

It may also be a while before I'm able to share any new pine marten snaps. The first daylight sighting of the year was made today, shortly after 10am, but as I'd neglected to leave the Pentax in place there was no chance of capturing the visitor. Not that I would have had long – moments after she was noticed on the garden gate a tabby blur chased her away. No wonder their visits are usually after dark.

This was particularly galling because the former Fearless Ones run indoors when Mystery Moggy wanders through the garden, yet are prepared to be brave when martens are around. Maybe there'll be another chance tomorrow.

Despite having not yet begun picture processing, I did find time to waste today with another bout of Photoshoppery. The execution's a little rough in places but it made Matchgirl and Cathy smile.
