So Many Hungry Mouths

It seems to have taken a while this year but young birdlife is now on the wing all around The Rural Retreat's garden. Newly fledged tree sparrows, blue tits, robins and woodpeckers have all been spotted begging for food.

Most prominent (today, at least) was a small flock of great tit youngsters which provided the Pentax with some action this afternoon.

I'll keep an eye open for more snappery opportunities – and to protect inexperienced fledglings from the casual cruelty of cats. The Pride is still on the prowl...
