A Little More Time

by admin - 17:54 on 27 November 2013

The Pride will be delighted that the next edition of Chatterbox is being printed (after the usual printer gremlins were defeated) and should be in the shops early next week. This means that the walks they've been deprived of for the past week or two will resume tomorrow. Weather permitting.

We could have gone for a jolly jaunt this morning, were it not for Matchgirl's literary tastes. I'm near the end of the latest Elizabeth George novel, Just One Evil Act, and it's too good to put down – much better, though I hate to admit it, than the new offering  by Ian Rankin, although I still prefer the character of Rebus to Inspector Lynley. Matchgirl bought both in a recent Waterstone's splurge.

My own fictional output received an airing at today's Black Isle Writers gathering where the assembled throng were treated to Time, which at less than five hundred words is considered flash fiction. It's surprising what can be said in so few words. Have a look and tell me what you think.

The completion of my Chatterbox labours also means time to prepare for a new (I hope) money-making venture: space in the pop-up shop at Ardyne House, Cromarty, when alongside other local craftspersons my wares will be available from December 6-15. The perfect place to buy your Christmas gifts.
