Wet Wet Wet

The Longest Day proved to be the wettest one too, so the garden's remained untouched except by the avian hordes who emptied the seed feeders twice today and got a good way down the peanut feeders. Those woodpeckers can eat.

Not all of our feathered friends were impressed by the weather, however. It's been so gloomy I forgot about the Pentax until I caught sight of four unhappy balls of fluff huddled together beneath the shelter of leaves.

The poor light meant a long exposure, but the young tree sparrows weren't inclined to move very much so I was just about able to get away with it.

Taking Shelter

As for pine martens, I've not seen one all day. They must be staying where it's dry too, which means the only snap I can offer is another from yesterday.
